If "cityzens" wins, we KNOW this shit is rigged.
It's gag worthy.
Also notice this is only for the away one. It's almost as if they've resigned to letting us have at least one jersey that represents us.
They all suck
I voted for "This is our city". I wish " 5 boroughs 1 city" was a choice.

So sick of this BS line of thinking. Black is the most generic color for a sports jersey in the world. How many freaking teams world over in football or her in the states in any sport use black for an away or "Third" jersey to look bad ass or cool. Sky blue is our color and it looks a thousand times nicer.
It's like the arm band all over again. Two options that are close to each other [this is ___ city] and the two orange options effectively splitting the popular majority in half. Then the one option that is awful [The City Never Sleeps]...Congrats! Our new slogan is We Are Cityzens!
The thing is, the "Cityzens" option is also the one which will appeal most to pre-teens, so anyone who lets their kids help them vote is probably going to end up that way. Anyone who is a more casual fan - the type who might go to games but don't post on this forum or attend SG meetings - is more likely to be favourable to it because it's "cute" and (attempting to be) funny. That's why unpopular options win votes - because the casual fans swing polls.
Not sure about that. The "citizens" nickname is one that City fans never embraced. I don't know about in the US but in England you only ever see the media use it (though they do use it a lot), but you'll never see fans use it.
They seem to have 2 polls running at once directed to different fans. I got a Cityzens poll email today and instead of the above question they asked me what they should have the players do to commemmorate future fan milestone, such as attendance of STH sales, etc. Therew were no choices, justa box to type in suggestions for a later poll. I'm not sure why I got this one while most folks seem to have gotten the away kit neck line slogan one.
In any event, I said that the player phone calls from a couple of weeks ago seemed to have been very well received by the folks who participated and it seemed the best way to combine the maximum numer of fans involved with personal interaction.

I got this one as well.
I got this email ("commemorate future fan milestones, such as attendance of STH sales, etc.") too but from City Voice, not Cityzens. If you log-in to your Cityzens account you will find the poll for the neckline slogan.

I told them they should hire a 3rd DP Real soon, and have Yankee Stadium Security stop changing the rules and hassling people. I didn't associate it with a specific milestone just in general.
If I had thought of it I would have said and have the captain wear the arm band we all didn't vote on at a game. Slipped my mind.

PS I think all those options for sayings are pretty bad. Maybe "Sexy in the City" because that's how I feel when I wear mine.
