I got this email ("commemorate future fan milestones, such as attendance of STH sales, etc.") too but from City Voice, not Cityzens. If you log-in to your Cityzens account you will find the poll for the neckline slogan.

Oh. I didn't even notice the original post said Cityzens not City Voice. I just thought all polls went through the latter, but I guess they want to limit the neckline poll to STHs.
BTW I'm choosing not to vote as I dont like any of them and have no faith they would follow our vote anyway. But mostly because I think all the choices are bad and emphasize their City brand at the expense of NY.

I wish there was an option to add our own...I would like the NY state motto (Excelsior) but thats just me, I wonder if they're gonna keep the generic "new york city fc" in the neck of the next home shirt....I hope they get a little more creative with the home shirt

The next home shirt will probably be 2017. Most MLS clubs only get 1 new kit per season.

In some ways I wish that'd catch on. I'm sick of hearing every announcer saying our five-syllable initials or even worse the six-syllable "New York City FC" (or the seven syllables of New York City Football Club). Gimme the two syllables of City. Besides, does it feel to anyone else that they're not allowed to call us New York? It's like they've been told they have to say New York City every time.

I have noticed that MLS announcers on TV constsiently call the Red Bulls "New York" and never call us just "New York." I've heard this from national announcers and local announcers including DC. It is so consistent that I would guess with high confidence that they are getting directed to do this, presumably by the league.

I also don't mind the idea of just calling us city....who cares because of man city? there are plenty of other city teams out there, hull, leicester, cardiff, etc....hearing them say N.Y.C.F.C. is kind of hard on the ears, so goes the same with saying new york city football club. I just call them city who cares

one thing thats guaranteed is that our home colors will always be sky blue maybe a little changes here and there with the stripes maybe navy or whatever but....as for next years away i would assume its black but who knows maybe they for next year and also release a navy third kit with orange accents, maybe something hoop style a la qpr/celtic?!?!?!

So sick of this BS line of thinking. Black is the most generic color for a sports jersey in the world. How many freaking teams world over in football or her in the states in any sport use black for an away or "Third" jersey to look bad ass or cool. Sky blue is our color and it looks a thousand times nicer.

Black is the unofficial color of NY.
