I only know of that in Arizona (Cardinals). I don't know about the extra space that Tottenham will use for the turf for NFL matches.

I only know of the one in Arizona too, but I like the idea a lot, and now it is shown to be feasible.

Whenever you see the Knicks draft or develop a talented young player, it won't be long before that dude is playing for someone else. You can practically set your watch by it.

Wished he signed with the Jets. Would have been better for both teams.

Heisman winner. Great arm and could run. Taller than Vick. Better leader.

Since the grass gets a limited amount of natural light I wonder how feasible it is in places that don't get the constant year round sunshine that Arizona does. It's a really neat concept. That stadium opened in 2006 so there has been plenty of time for others to copy the concept yet no one has. That tells me it is either super expensive or dependent on having environmental conditions similar to Arizona in order to be feasible.

The best ever interview in FCA mags when you were a high school athlete.

Of course, obvious deaf ears here. Not many high school athletes and like 5 Christians.

ETA: 2nd thought - 5 might be generous. I think I know 3. We in trouble. As far as athletes and Christians. Near zero representation around here.

The Pope is visiting Abu Dhabi next week. First time a pope will formally visit the Arab peninsula ever, and it coincides with NYCFC training camp.

    There are no coincidences.
Pope Francis is a NYCFC fan and lurks on the forums. Confirmed.
He might also be the intern but that's just speculation.

Yeah that’s why they got the place ready so quickly and played alll those matches there.

But seriously, i think the 2 systems work a bit different.

If lighting is the problem they could probably just use the massive wheeled UV lighting systems that some teams have to keep their pitches growing/alive throughout the season.

I would imagine it’s maximally feasible since you are growing the grass out in the open where shade from the stands or an overhang won’t interrupt the sunshine. If you can’t grow grass in the middle of an open field in winter - with tending by a full grounds crew - then you can’t grow it.

I think the bigger issue is finding the space for the grass to sit during the day. Not sure where the AZ grass sits - I would assume over game day parking.

Lots of possession but the ball never crosses the goal. Dome Torrent must be coaching this Super Bowl

Someone called me at work 45 minutes ago and the ID seemed spammy so I sent it to voicemail, and they didn't leave a message. They have since called 10 times total, or once every 4-5 minutes. Once I accidentally hit "Answer," but immediately hung up.
It might be the only way to make this stop is to take the call, but I really don't want them to win.
