White Supremacists In Supporter Section

The person wearing overtly racist & hate symbols does not have the right to dictate who is or is not intimidated by them.
Where are they dictating anything? I don’t know how else to explain that just because u feel something doesn’t mean they are doing something. I can be intimidated by a scary looking dog but that doesn’t mean that dog is intimidating me.

Not nescessarily no. Again, just cause u feel intimidated doesn’t mean they’re actively intimidating you.
Lol what does you being Jewish have to do with anything? Explain to me what intimidates you. Have you been threatened? Beaten? Segregated? Charged extra at the concession stands (being Jewish myself this would be the greatest form of intimidation). I don’t understand

So you’re all saying I can go use my SS tickets. Go to the match with my Kippa on (maybe even an NYCFC kippa) and tzitis hanging out. And sit right by these guys and they’ll be totally cool with me? I won’t hear any antisemetic comments and nothing with be intentionally tossed on me? That it’s a completely safe thing to do and I’m being paranoid for feeling anxious to do so?

They might be, they might not be. Up until this point they haven’t done anything in the stands which is why they haven’t been removed. You being scared is not a reason for their removal. Now If they start with anti Semitic comments and throwing things at you then they will/should be removed. But I will add I’ve been in the supporters section with plenty of Jewish people, some of which wear their kippa and nothing at all has happened. Most people don’t even know these dudes exist outside of the media attention.

Once again I’m not trying to tell anyone how to feel.

This thread doesn't make sense to me. I have been active in politics upstate for 20 years and have spent way too much one on one time at the doors of racists and white supremacists.

I cant think of another place those assholes would be more uncomfortable than in the NYCFC supporters section surrounded by men and women of all races and religions cheering and chanting together in English and Spanish for our team.

Just because someone has the right to have a swastika tattoo and spew garbage, that doesn’t mean they have the right to congregate in a private business’ stadium.

Nycfc should root these jackasses out now just because it’s bad for business but because nycfc should set the bar for how we deal with this nonsense in our society.

I never said I was scared. But do I want to actively put myself in a position to get arrested myself? My family had to deal with real Nazis in Germany and Poland. I’m not about to stay silent for these Nazi posers if they call me names or stand pat if they physically assault me by throwing things at me. But do I really want to put myself in that position? I have a family, job, a real life and people who rely on me. I don’t need to be putting myself in a position where I can get hurt in a fight or arrested myself to prove a point. And that’s why I’ll proabbly stay away from the SS. I wouldn’t call that intimidation, more like adulting on my end. And that’s not very fair to me these people attend if I did want to use my tickets in that section.

That is absolutely your choice.

You are 100% wrong.

Wearing hate symbols is doing something. They made the choice to adorn themselves with it/them.

Precisely. You know all those things you mentioned happening? That whole beautiful little story you just drew up there? That’s called an assumption. You cannot toss people out based on an assumption that they MAY do something. That’s absurd. Should certain people not drive because they MAY cause car accidents? Or maybe we should stop all immigration into the country from any Latin American countries because they MAY be bringing in drugs.

You feeling anxious about a person who has caused you zero harm should not affect their ability to watch a soccer game in peace, that is absurd.

Tell you what. I’m gonna wear a MAGA hat to a game. But you know what, given how much hate for trump is to be found in the SS (easily evidenced by a single glance in the off-season at the Facebook supporters group), I feel anxious that they may do something to me. So they should all be thrown out right?
