The single greatest non DP move this club has ever made was acquiring and selling poku.

We've paid for 2 GA players who are expected to challenge for minutes and a fair chunk of Chanot from that one move. #frontoffice

Who's the second GA?

He means Harrison and Lewis, no?
Ok just confused since we drafted Harrison before we sold Poku. Chanot transfer fee was reported at 600k in Euros so I would wager we have zero allocation dollars left from the Poku trade anymore.

Harrison was traded for before we offloaded Poku, so the $$ used came from another source. Now perhaps the accountants can say we restocked our bank account with the Poku Bucks, but that's it.

Just as an FYI, we have an extra third round pick this year from a trade we made this summer with the Timbers:

Transaction date: 8/2/2016
POR Portland receive: Rights to Gbenga Arokoyo
NYC NYCFC receive: Targeted allocation money, conditional third-round 2017 MLS SuperDraft pick

Sure but we also used TAM to acquire Mata and Brillant. I love the Poku move but we can't attribute the allocation dollars we got from it to every signing or deal we have made.

You're probably right, but the money from the Poku and Mullins deals have allowed us to make moves that we otherwise would not have been able to.

Such as eating money on mix, Mendoza, Mena...

Mix - new GAM and TAM couldn't come into play because he was already on the roster and paid for using some other mechanism

Mendoza - how could we eat money on a loaned player? And if it is the original Mendoza, he asked to be released to head back home. No cap hit.

Mena - We don't know if we are eating any of his salary on his loan deal. You may be right.

I mean your balance sheet has to include plusses and minuses. Sure we made salary cap space with poku's and Mullins deals, but we've also wasted more than that on Mix, Mena and Andres Mendoza. Players who are on the team, with significant salary cap costs but were not played

I don't think I said anything about salary. Poku and Mullins netted us GAM. That GAM allowed us to get Chanot, Lewis and Kwame.
