Khiry's salary is $94,500. over 3 years that's $283,500 vs the cap. If CFG doesn't care about $300k from their books, we just had a net savings of $33,500 vs the cap over 3 years. If he actually plays well, we got a steal.

Not gonna lie, I am disappointed that we didn't take Ebobbise. That said, Lewis appears to be a stud so I am quite happy.

I dont think you move up like that for a backup, have to think he'll be getting some good minutes this year. Does he have a left foot?
You move up like that for a starter, a GA player that doesn't affect the Cap, or both. Hopefully he's good enough to start, but if not, we have a guy that won't hurt the Cap for a few years while learning the system. the $250K is like an $83K/year guy if he's on a 3-year deal, but as a freshman he may be on a 4-year deal.

They definitely weren't bluffing when they promised to emphasize and commit to the youth movement. I love the direction.
He's short though..... so we're not exactly moving toward aerial crosses from the wings, unless we expect him to always be on the delivering end.

One thing to keep in mind is that it actually benefits us for him not to be a starter right away so he doesn't graduate from GA. Harrison being hurt in the beginning of the year was probably the only thing that prevented him from being fully on the cap this year.

I had the YouTube feed on pause and just watched the draft coverage of the pick. Really interesting to see it "as it happened".

The commentators spoke of him as more of a midfielder and a creator. He has speed, can break down defenders and passes well. One guy said he was Nagbe, another more like Donovan.

He just finished his freshman year, so he is very young - much like Harrison before him.

Saw him speak. He's a well-spoken, charismatic kid. Originally from Florida and of Jamaican descent.

Excited to see him play.
