We need a CDM. That is our top and highest priority. We don't have a starting level guy for that spot right now, and it may be the most important on the team given how we play.

Everywhere else, what we need is depth. We need 2 more backup CBs and a backup RB, and perhaps a utility type defender who can play more than one spot. I think we need one more guy who can be a backup attacker as well.

I get the sense this will be us tomorrow.

I was wrong.

Let's try to figure out some MLS math...

Last Year:
1st Pick = 4th Pick + X GAM

This Year:
3rd Pick = 250K GAM
4th Pick = 10th Pick + 100K GAM + International Spot
16th Pick = 75K GAM
25th Pick = 50K GAM
25th Pick + 26th Pick = 75K TAM

The 10th Pick is ~100K in GAM based on our 16th Pick and the difference between 16th and 25th. So the international spot should be worth ~50K.

Say the 1st or 2nd pick is 50K more than the 3rd, so we traded ~50K to Chicago plus the 4th pick for Jack Harrison.

Or we paid more, who knows...

Happy with the draft. With us being such a young team and with no academy or USL team, it's important we continue to bring in young talent to the team. Considering we traded up for our top two picks, it looks like PV got his guys that he wants to work with.

I'm very excited about our young depth and pace that we have the potential to develop. Hopefully we can bring in some hungry players in their prime during the rest of the transfer window to really solidify the making of our team going into this season and beyond. Really excited about the start of our offseason.

Excited to see Lewis and his growth but I'm especially excited about Kwame and how he can develop under PV.
