Lewis Assist!
Very, very good move by Jonathan.

ETA:

I do understand what the coaches are talking about with the defensive efforts, I was watching him through the time he was on the pitch, and you can see it. However, he does seem to be getting a bit better at defensive efforts? ...But doesn't right now look like he's really doing too much.

It is troubling that Lewis looks good, like he did last summer, and dome didn't seem to see it. He has a nose for the goal and that is exactly what this team needs

Great assist! Looked a little aimless off the ball. Hoping we see more of him this year — at this point, you gotta think he just needs games.

Yeah, he clearly is improving on the defensive side of things, and game time is the only thing that will help him improve that. His assist was amazing, and Dome better give him playing time.

I was just thinking before that, not a bad showing by Lewis. Didn’t do anything terrible, and got himself in some good spots, but then didn’t do much with it. Nothing to be upset with really, but nothing to be glowing about.

And then he had that play for the assist. Great move to create the separation needed to get that cross off.

ETA: It kinda reminded me of the move David Villa used in the historic home opener when he assisted to Patty Mulls

Lol that ball into the box was poor, it should've been saved by the keeper. I swear you people have Rose colored glasses when it comes to Lewis

It was fortunate and a competent keeper would either stop it or never be that far out in the first place, but credit to him for the run, then the burst, and for getting the ball across at all.

Please try harder - seriously - because your logic and analysis are both flawed.

The mere fact the keeper and a defender failed to intercept the pass is proof evident that the pass was not only not poor, but 100% effective.

Could have, would have, should have doesn’t mean anything since they didn’t.

This is 25 players - 24 if we drop to 3 goalkeepers.

We need 2 strikers. We need at least a 4th CB, and I would argue a 5th. We seem good at FB and CM. I think we are good on the wing too.
