2019 Season Ticket Thread

As I said before, I think they boxed themselves in with the variable pricing trying to get everything to add up to the prices we paid. It doesn't reflect the stinker of a season we were handed with all these midweek games and honestly only like 3 very interesting matches (one being RB on a sat, the other being LAFC on a sat but its too early/cold, and the third atlanta season closer but on a wed and we or they could be uninteresting at that point). I downgraded to nosebleeds, my package costs $408. If you let me make the schedule I could make a lineup of games worth $600. I could also make a lineup worth $200. Unfortunately, they were priced $408 per-schedule and then the league handed us a lineup closer to the lower end.

So, they know off the bat that the packages is probably already worth 90% of what we paid, and they have to put that 10% somewhere or it looks bad admitting the ST are overpriced. They also know the RB game on Saturday is the gem of the season tickets (with current knowledge, obviously could change if like somehow HOU get Neymar, but i think we know how likely that is) and how bad the mid week draws are. They couldn't just make the RB's game 20% of the total price and midweek games 2%. It would be too lopsided and an admission that STH are getting the shaft vs these à la carte 3-6 match packages they sell. So they ended up trying to make a flatter price structure, thus overvaluing the midweek games and undervaluing the RB match. For me the best deal is turning 8 bad overpriced "bronze" games in 1 underpriced 'platinum" match and upgrading my section to legends seats, for net zero cost. Effectively making the STH a large à la carte package but allowing you to retain Founding member status.

Dude, I’m just waiting for Sunday to find out concession prices have gone up 10% while closing the few interesting choices and replacing them with 15 more Nathan’s locations.

My experience the last 2 years suggests that even NJRB tickets aren’t all that hot on the open market.

The parking passes included with my Delta seats are now good only at the River Avenue Garage, which is probably the hardest one to get to/from the Deegan before and after games. I was informed by email today. The email stressed that NYCFC does not control the garages. Thanks guys.

I can't believe It's so typical they announce this via email at 5:30 on a Friday before the game Sunday.

My passes come "free" or at least included with Delta seats and above, so there's nothing to cancel unless I downgrade my seats. I know they sell them at a discount to other seat holders. Don't know if they can cancel. I would hope so.

It could even be a real estate, taxes, or bondholder thing. Last year the 153rd Street garage was 80% filled with long term fleet parking. Hell, if you want to get optimistic (crazy, I know) you can think that the Ruppert and 153rd street garages are going to be unavailable because something else is going to be built there....

But hell, what are the odds of that.

Not sure what their reasoning could be for restricting access to other garages.

Another huge fuck up from the front office.

It would be easier for me to pick up my father, park in the city, take the 4 train back and forth, and then drive him back then for him to park in the River Avenue Garage. What a mess. Everyone with a parking pass should call their reps.

How crazy would that be tho... This could be the early stages of a stadium announcement. Would make sense to direct people away from those 2 if that is indeed the plan.
