We will be getting refunds because the event in question is not going to be played within the next 12 months.
MLS 2020 is not happening.
Stop kidding yourself that society is going back to normal before a vaccine is put out and that won’t happen (unless the FDA rescinds testing protocols) for another 12-18 months and then will need 300million doses for the US and another 5billion for the world, which to manufacture and distribute will take longer.
Further, if they don’t refund me, they will have lost me forever. If they’re so greedy that they’re going to keep payment for season tix to games that are never played, then Fck them to hell because that’s the most unethical company to hide behind a pandemic.
Obviously if games are not played or we are not allowed to attend or it's a year .. we'd get refunds. Just as the agreement says.
I think whether we start the season again doesn't depend on the vaccine but simply the number of new cases. Much like china has gone a few days now without new cases and has begun resuming things that had shut down. Had nothing to do with a vaccine or a cure. Of course, there's always a risk another outbreak could start, but there's so much money at stake, they will restart if at all possible and health experts deem it safe enough to do so.
MLS 2020 could happen. In what capacity? Who knows. Maybe they will cancel it all together, but I am not writing it off at this point.
