2022 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs

Well, all I can say is we have important business in Canada, and CF Montréal is going to be a tough one. They may have been the best team in the league on a consistent basis since the end of July. But if things work out the way we hope, our trip to Philadelphia is something I'm really looking forward to now.

since we're at this point, i would love to rematch philly.

and i truly think we have a chance to win in montreal. it will be a game decided by the midfield and this time we have an in form acevedo and (while i love the kid) haak is not starting. whoever controls the midfield will win.

it's ok. that was such an ugly game. it literally could have gone either way. the difference was philly had blake. end of story.
And unfortunately will have him if we make the final. We are gonna have to practically walk it into the goal. IF we make it past MTL.

Funny that I’ve been watching out of market playoff games this year. I don’t think I’ve done that since like 2000.

i'm not worried about it. we've scored on blake before. we can do it again. gotta get past montreal first.

Damn but the Union fans are this weird combination of arrogant, battered, superior and resentful. I mean, I get it's Philly, but it's really another level right now. If we do get past Montreal we better damn win in Chester. If not, Sons of Ben will be making TIFOs about the 2021-2022 Union-NYCFC sequence for decades. Which will be pathetic and funny in its own way, but it will really suck for the next 2-3 years.

Remember, Andre Blake has been in MLS his entire career, meaning he is at the level where you're good enough to have a solid MLS career, but not good enough to go abroad to a better league. I believe it was 2019(?) playoffs where Philly got knocked out in a game where Blake was horrendous.

He's good, but he's not invincible.

But let's beat Montreal first!

Edit: in 2019 Philly actually beat RBNJ 4-3 despite a very poor game from Blake.
