They had them at the Stadium. Still might have some. But they always remove most if not all soccer stuff when there are no soccer games. I know they keep a small rack of soccer merch in the store by the Hard Rock.anyone know if the replica away kit is going to be available to order online again (i don't want authentic or customized)? or are they available at the stadium store?
HahaHave you not heard? Frank Lampards first game its being unveiled.
If they wouldn't wear them against KC then never. Gotta market the brand.
I understand why they would wear Sky Blue at times while away but it seems as if the away kit won't be used. The SKC match was a home game and the home team will always wear their primary kit unless they have a third kit and/or special occasion. I'd agree with you if we played at SKC but we should not expect to see anything other than sky blue at home. Ever.

On a related note… how often does Manchester City wear alternate kits? I feel as if I never see that happen aside from once or twice a year. Might be the same story. It is up to the referee to determine if there is enough of a difference in color (light vs dark) for the two teams' kits. I agree that it seems like NYCFC always requests to play in the primary kit on the road and so far the referee has allowed it every time. Most teams do prefer to wear their primary kit whenever possible but so far NYCFC is taking it to extremes like Barca and Real Madrid for example.
The away kit is the more popular kit with the fans but it seems like the higher uppers of NYCFC want them to be in the primary kit. It's pretty clear as to why *cough* branding *cough* but it's pretty stupid. It is up to the referee to determine if there is enough of a difference in color (light vs dark) for the two teams' kits. There are only two or three games we will likely wear black for. Away at LA, Vancouver and Montreal.I get what you're saying. It's a discussion I've participated in on these forums numerous times over the past year. Out of 34 regular season matches we will probably wear the home kit for 25 or 26 of them (17 home matches and about half of the away matches). It just is what it is. It really shouldn't come as a surprise at this point. We aren't the only club in the world (or even MLS) that prefers to wear the primary kit as much as possible. It just rubs some people the wrong way in our case because of the circumstances.
I get that everyone loves the black kit, but sticking with the primary for the majority of games is nothing new. Look at the teams in the PL. They stick with their "branded" color 90% of the season. Tottenham has only worn their black or yellow alternates like 4 or 5 times the entire season. They are the lillywhites, so that's what they wear.
Oh I know Paul. I just wish NYC FC were a bit different and decided to use their away kit. I have no issue with their primary kit but the black one is extremely nice not to use.I get what you're saying.
