I really don’t want to defend Dome here, but how do we know he wasn’t just saying the situation was a “fucking disaster”
Because it’s not the first time he’s made a snarky response. He’s so incredibly thin skinned that he’s showing he’s a hothead after being thoroughly outcoached and turning a gem of a season into a dumpster fire.

Are you talking about this?

It just seems like a such a over the top response to someone asking a legit question, which is why it makes me wonder a bit if it actually was a “personal attack”

His most egregious crime is to have almost made Araos sympathetic. #DomèOut.
I mean, Araos is baiting him. Has never had a constructive statement to make, and always sinks the boot in when the coach is down. It's easy to criticize, hard to lead.

Having said that, I wish Dome handled himself better. But in a sense, he said what I was feeling. Lewis has been a defensive liability the last two games he played, and Berget can't seem to compete for the ball.

I'm going to trust the guy who was there, heard the comment, and knows the context over internet translators who haven't actually heard the audio/seen the video.

Asking the coach why a certain player was left off the squad is not baiting him in any way. Araos is not questioning his decision-making, he's asking for an explanation, which is a completely reasonable thing to ask for.

He is questioning his decision making, only in a passive way. And that's if you believe that he doesn't know exactly why Berget isn't in the 18.

Everybody should be questioning his decision making, because since Dome has been here, he hasn’t made one single thing better than what it was before he arrived. For that, after being bounced from the Cup, he should have every single decision questioned.

Timeout. You guys are taking something Araos said as true?

Can maybe one person in the room dispute what Araos reported before people reflexively assume Araos is wrong? Did anyone in the room the last time Araos and Torrent had a run in (last month as someone posted) dispute what Araos reported? Did Torrent? Did any other reporter? Did any player? Did Mark Booth, or that translator claim that what Araos said was counter to the facts? No. Nobody did that. But multiple people in this forum just know that Araos is full of crap based on some preconceived notion that Araos is anti-NYCFC.

Also, what has Dome done to deserve any benefit of the doubt? Has he shown himself to be responsible? Has he shown he has the players' trust? Has he ever shown any grace, or given cogent explanations of failure when the team lost?

Exactly. How anyone can call this baiting -- Christopher Jee -- is beyond me. That's what sports reporters do. Why did this player start over that one. Why is that guy benched. Explain your substitutes. That's every post-game press conference ever.

Again, reporters are supposed to make the coach explain this stuff. IDGAF what Araos knows or thinks he knows. Fans want to hear, see and read the coach explain himself. To get that you ask questions. If Araos never asked Dome to explain his decision and wrote an article explaining Torrent's decision making process without any facts or input from the coach to back him up, people would rightfully call Araos out for just making stuff up. So he tries to do the job of a reporter and you're complaining that he doesn't just explain Torrent and accuse him of baiting and passive aggressive BS when he's just trying to get Torrent to explain himself. Bizarre.

We talk a lot about this club’s ambitions and whether or not we should be settling for a $4 Million transfer record on a shittt Young DP.

But you want the true sign of ambition we see this winter? Go get a real manager. Not an MLS retread. Not someone from inside the CFG community.

Why aren’t we talking about Frank De Boer? Or Louis Van Gaal? Or Arsene Wenger? Or Claudio Ranieri.

Show some fucking ambition on the touch line.

Domè from the beginning has seemed like a really intense person. I don’t think he meant any offense towards Araos but ya totally unprofessional and I wouldn’t mind to see him leave.

Asking sensitive questions is a reporter's job. And taking a playoff-ending loss hard is part of a coach's job. Getting an explanation of why Berget was left out would have made for a dutiful quote in a boring gamer because we already know the answer—Araos himself retweeted that event map I posted of Berget's game one. But seeing a passionate side of Dome we don't get much of is a more interesting story.

Atlanta just bought the best outfield player in today’s Libertadores final while our FO seems to have their monkeys up their asses looking for the best value. Maybe when you’re backed by a fucking terrorist state money ain’t a fucking object. SPEND BABY SPEND
