Euro 2016

Dont
Totally calm. Just pointing out that it's a lot easier to have faith in a team that's playing very well for an entire half as opposed to pre-kick off against a highly ranked Belgium side.

Come over here and give me a kiss.

don't threaten me with a good time

Lovely to see little Iceland hold to a 1-1 draw against Portugal/Ronaldo on their Euro debut. How exciting for them and their fans. Their goalkeeper made some great saves.
I'm so curious to watch them play against an opponent they don't feel so overmatched by. I got the impression that their choice to almost entirely forego pressing except for a little while after their equalizer was a deliberate choice and that they saw this match as a low-pressure run-out to get used to the competition. I bet they'll crank it up against opposition perceived to be weaker.

There was another flare today?
Yes, but apparently UEFA has already deemed it wasn't a crowd hazard (high-temperature chemical flame in close proximity to other spectators???). They are terrified to actually render punishment.

it was lit when they scored their goal.

I cant believe they are hosting a World Cup. Really missed the boat by not going to Rio.

CONSPIRACY THEORY ALERT (don your tinfoil hats)

*Russia sends troublemakers to the Euros and/or hopes/expects Russian troublemaking
*Russian politicians / Russian FA members publicly defend troublemakers
*Russian politicians / Russian FA members publicly call French security forces weak
*UEFA hands down "suspended" sentence for Russian troublemaking; interim head of UEFA is also FIFA "bureau chairman" of World Cup 2018
*Russia sets the stage for draconian security measures at World Cup 2018; enhances "tough" international reputation, somehow otherwise profits?

RLY MAKES U THINK

Makes me think that I'm not sure how they would profit from being seen as even more draconian than they already are.
