I don't get who they are trying to appeal to here. If they think pro rel zealots and snobs are gonna start watching then they are wrong.really miss the american style of naming teams. when MLS started, we owned it and made it our own. now it just seems like we're trying to emulate europe.
and yea - the whole "FC" adoption is getting out of hand. especially if it is american ownership.
In my household, NYCFC are known as 'Nick-fick'. That same approach would not work well for Charlotte...I was hoping for town or athletic because no one seemed to realize the only reason it sounded nice was because of their familiarity with Charlton Athletic, both of which are almost the same name.
CLTFC. Someone finally gave NYCFC a run for their money when it comes to awkward abbreviations.
Or would it?In my household, NYCFC are known as 'Nick-fick'. That same approach would not work well for Charlotte...
Same regarding "nick-fick" LOLIn my household, NYCFC are known as 'Nick-fick'. That same approach would not work well for Charlotte...

I can't think of anything lamer than just adding "FC" to your city name, a simple round badge w/secondary monogram and playing in a non-SSS.
Hot take coming up: we were all just going to call them 'Charlotte' 75% of the time anyway.
Also if they just made their secondary logo their main logo it would all be forgiven.

The club will also adopt CLTFC as a secondary reference.
