Jordan Morris may not amount to anything. But then again, he might be a damn fine striker. He's fast as shit and composed near the goal. And strong. He may not be allowed to leave Europe.

wood's goal was just a work of art. his first touch made it though. stuck it to his foot, spins, one touch for space, and then boom with pace and precision to the corner. a thing of beauty.
The dummy by Morris bought him that tiniest bit of space. Wood, once he got out of 1860, did well. He's got everything. Always just lacked the final ball. Until this week. He's in the history books forever now. Twice.
It has already been edited out, but briefly after the game Wood's Wikipedia entry looked like this in the first paragraph. Also note the text above the photo.

I can't get too excited about this. We've played Germany 3 times in the last year.

That dummy was incredible. If you ask me for a pros/cons list for our strikers, Morris' collective list honestly shows stronger than everyone in the national pool other than Dempsey and maybe Johannsen.
Yea, friendly disclaimer and all, but it is still nice to see the USMNT able to go toe to toe w/elite squads, no matter what 11 they put out there. Germany and Holland's 2nd 11 are better than most of the world's top line.
I can get excited about it - after a bad run after the World Cup we are finding our stride and closing out games with wins against great footballing nations as we head into the Gold Cup.
