Your way too early weather forecast:
View attachment 6086

I presume it will be high to mid 40s come game time, and a little bit of wind too. Nice and cool temperature, decent soccer weather aside from the wind.
That Yankee Stadium wind is brutal. When I did the inaugural season home opener it was in the low 40's. Went to the game with just a jersey on and pants. By the time the game started and I was in my front row seats with nothing in sight to stop the wind from pounding every inch of me I had purchased about $100 in gear. Scarf, jacket, blanket. And was still cold as fuck.

I think I'll have to forego my Johansen jersey.

Instead, my other superstition idea is to wear NYCFC gear equivalent to the number of goals we should score. T-shirt, sweatshirt, jacket, vest, another jacket, hat, pants. 7-0.

Is this superstition congruent with your idea earlier in the season to wear multiple scarves during the same game? If I remember correctly that didn't work out for us.

They should review all of the play acting Cooper engaged in. It was painfully evident Toronto was trying to goad Villa into a card and Cooper was the designated heckler. I thought the Ref was piss-poor with Cooper - I'd have given him a yellow much earlier for his embellishing/diving and then he later earned a yellow for his fouling.

The Ref also gave Harrison & Chanot yellows for tugs that stopped counters, but there was at least one Toronto guy that took Harrison down on a clean break up the side and he got nothing. And Villa stood no chance holding the ball when 3-4 guys are kicking his ankles. No, I'm not blaming the ref for our loss - but the stiff wasn't calling an even game by any stretch.

I will be in the ear of all the refs on Sunday. They will hear me. Also, I need some serious heckles for Toronto players.

"Michael, your dad is going to get relegated and fired."

I think it was last year, I screamed at Bradley while he was taking a corner, "Your father doesn't love you!" And then screamed "Where's your hair!?" For the people around me, it was a little awkward for the rest of the game.

I say this in jest (sort of), but after the game went 2-0 and both teams had used all of their subs, in the closing seconds of the game, why didn't we have our version of the Hanson Brothers go to blows with Bradley - just sacrifice a guy that isn't in the plans for next Sunday.... are we really going to use Bravo again if both Pirlo and Lampard take their usual spots? I guess nobody else on the field was a potential scratch for us besides him...... so it'd have been the Hanson Brother....

Isn't that what RJ was doing at the end of the game with Altidore? Pretty sure he was trying to provoke Jozy into a yellow card.

During Playoffs, anything can happen at Yankee Stadium...

I was fortunate enough to be in attendance for Game 3 of the 2012 ALDS and Game 1 of the ALCS. In Game 3, pinch hitter Raul Ibanez hit a game tying home run in the bottom on the 9th, then a walk off home run in the 12th. The stadium was electric. Roaring crowd, shaking seats. In Game 1, down 4-0 in the bottom on the 9th, Ichiro hit a two run home run then Raul Ibanez hit another two run home run to tie the game and send it to extras. Again, an unbelievable atmosphere.

However, that was the game when Jeter broke his left ankle.

You can go from lows to highs to lows in a short period of time.

Never leave early. Keep believing until the game is over.

I've got the Toronto benchside covered. My bants game will be on point.

MLS Conspiracy Point of Consideration:

Rivalries are a selling point for this league. With the Montreal-Red Bulls game before ours, whoever wins that game will have the rival in the subsequent game in the favor of the refs.

So if Montreal advances, MLS will want Toronto to advance.

If the Red Bulls advance, MLS will want NYCFC to advance.

Anyone find it odd we only have 3 and a half days of training?
Off today and tomorrow. Train Wednesday Thursday Friday and Saturday. I'm assuming Saturday won't be a full training session right?
Still, odd to take an extra day off. They usually always train Tuesday. We have a lot of things to fix.

We're not training on Tuesday?
