The time was already changed so Fox Sports 1 could show it without conflicting with the CONCACAF Gold Cup Final and also auto racing at Lime Rock Park in between.
Good catch. Looks like its an automatic suspension due to him having been sent off against NYRB.
How much do coaches influence the game? Can't they just relay information to their assistant for who to sub on and off?
I ask because I've had a coach suspended before on my team in high school but we had an assistant coach and our coach showed up to the game anyway and yelled at us from the stands.
I am just guessing, but I would think the only significant impacts would be tactical adjustments at halftime and substitutions. I am assuming he is not allowed contact with the team until after the game, so he couldn't weigh in on those things. He will have full participation in the strategy going into the game, and will certainly have plans on tactics and substitutions, but that's not the same as being in the room when decisions are made.
There might also be some impact on player motivation, since I think he is a guy who is pretty high energy.
Ultimately, I can't think it makes a huge difference. In soccer so much is left to the players on the pitch and depends on their initiative. Coaching, during the game at least, seems to affect on the margins.

There's still one more match, the third place one. Earliest would be the Montreal match on 8/1.
Ugggh no reason for this tourney to have a 3rd place match should copy Europe and get rid of that
Mix takes his anger of this failure in the Gold Cup and has the best second half of any player in MLS.
I'm sure as hell not going to watch it. I don't want corrupt CONCACAF to earn more money or think it's a good idea
And actually, it's not exactly easy to watch either. It's on Fox Sports 2 or Univision. So you can either watch it in Spanish or not be able to watch it in English.
