As you can guess, NYCFC became so popular in Spain with Villa and its usual to hear about it, also, as we always do in Spain with everything, we give some humor to this operation in a web similar to 9gag but only with sports. No offense of course:

Huge supply of people + actual advertising + among the cheapest tickets in town + big names + ultra-rich owners + affiliation with another big NYC sports team = sure success (at least by MLS standards).

New York is a tough market.. Incredibly competitive in all ways, but yes. We might do it, or rather.. I doubt anyone else have the chance we have.

No longer a rumor. Jason Kreis said in his interview this morning that Villa will not play for City during MLS off season.

Not surprising really, for Villa to play 5 months in the hectic tempo of the premier league and then a full season of MLS, with all the travelling involved, would be asking an awful lot energy wise. Besides, even though Villa is world class, MCFC already have 4 top strikers and adding him to the roster would mean that somebody would be left unhappy.

We get rumours of Kun going to spain every transfer window, it's Madrid and Barca's favourite tactic to try and unsettle players that they want to sign, he's happy in Manchester and has stated plenty of times he's not leaving. Dzeko also unlikely to leave, seems happier than he's ever been and his goals won us the title. Negredo a possibility but only if we move towards a one striker system.

All that was actually said about Aguero to Spain is that his father (also his agent) has said he would like to play for Barcelona. It's what's known in the business as "draping yourself like a prostitute all over a rival in the hopes that your current club panics and starts throwing money at you to persuade you to stay".

26 goals in half a season followed by a nasty shoulder injury he hadn't fully recovered from, he's been fantastic (Negredo). Out of the four he's most likely to leave but I can't see us changing our attack, it was the best in Europe last year and our defence was more in need of work.

Hehe that was the first thing that crossed my mind when I saw the billboard! Maybe we should have gotten Yaya one of those...

That is exactly what I thought of when I saw the Villa posters. We had a succession of posters that season featuring our players in the run up to big games, like Bellamy, Adebayor and SWP.

However, this is rather different, as (despite the exposure we gained from the Tevez poster) in Manchester, City already had a large fan base and the city (and country) had a long, illustrious footballing culture
