Unbelievably frustrating to watch 12 wasted corner opportunities. I hope this is a focal point during training this week. It's simply not acceptable. On the one set that worked, it was one of our defenders who made the run to get an open shot at goal, which he did not convert. Please PV have the squad work on these this week.

Yeah there were a couple we should have scored on and they were very well executed. The lob to mix running in was beautiful. When he first hit it I was like oh my god Andrea. Then it just fell right into mix's boot and unfortunately not well placed. Then the Matarrita one which he missed about the whole stadium on but it may have bounced just before he hit it. Still poor.
I think there was one other one that was a goal scoring chance as well.

I think tactically they were very well thought out and well practiced. They just couldn't execute last night at all. I actually am encouraged this season on corners. At least they try something. Last year Kreis had zero interest in them trying anything we've already seen 10 more set plays this season in 3 games then we saw all of last season.

We don't have the height to convert at a higher clip. I agree with SayWhat44; there were some really well executed set pieces that just didn't finish. That Matarrita miss broke my heart. We will get there, folks. Vieira is doing an amazing job with this club.
