Mls All-star Game Thread

Lol

Watching the homegrown game.

They did a mic'd up segment with Landon Donovan, the all-star coach, where its just him talking to his assistant about the game.

The guy is like the anti-TV personality. The only interesting thing about Landon Donovan is how incredibly boring his personality comes across as.
I think he's really funny in a super-dry way. Hell, I'll watch damn near anything with him involved.

Kaka the only player not facing flag during anthem. Villa showing class.

Mexicans losing, my friend. Don't ever underestimate the joy we Amis can take from that.

I'd love to see that too. But it would have to be at a location with no Mexican supporters. I don't want them celebrating in our faces if they, somehow win.

What an exciting Duo, Villa and Kaka! would love to see them playing again together , It was a enjoyable exhibition game. I did not had to worry about getting a heart attack. lol
Villa, Kaka and Pirlo would be amazing. Again, it's why ditching Lampard for a real 10 makes so much sense.

Heck, watching Villa, Kaka and Deuce together was pretty fun. I posted in chat that I think those three would give any back line in the world fits even now.

Blegh, why Kaka had to take the Penalty kick?

If Villa would have been the one taking it he would have been the MVP. After all the handball came from his corner.

Blegh, Villa is da real MVP.

...and I thought I liked to bitch.
That's me. Defending my fave athlete like a fool.
So he scores 5 of the 8 goals that won the World Cup and literally took the team from the group stage to the semi final. Who is the player that people remember? Iniesta.
He is the top scorer for his country in World Cups, who is selected ahead of him? Torres and Costa.
Villa plays like a boss in the last NYCFC match and who is the one getting all the media attention? Pirlo
Villa is the guy who kicked the corner and won the penalty, scored a sublime first touch goal and whi is the MVP? Kaka.

The life of our skipper.

I also enjoy seeing Villa play.

My thing about Villa and Kaka is that they've been carrying the MLS DP water since the beginning of the season and appear to really enjoy the game and playing in the league. To a degree, I commend the way Stevie G. has started off in Los Angeles. However, Lampard...

I just hope that whatever happens from here on out, that supporters don't forget how Villa, Kaka and Giovinco have played all season.

I'm just wondering: Why isn't the All Star Game in larger stadiums? I know that MLS wants to highlight the soccer specific stadiums, but I'm thinking this game could have sold out Mile High in Denver.

This game would have been a 48K+ sellout at Yankee Stadium.
