I just watched the behind the scenes clip and I’m starting to lean towards the Taty directed it towards Haglund. I don’t really see any body positioning or head movement that seems like he was aiming it any other direction than the way it went...
Was he was trying to put some major spin on the ball? Maybe... but technically he doesn’t appear to be aiming on net. I’ll defer to a more accomplished soccer player on this but at the moment, as crazy as it may sound, I’m on the side of “Taty meant to do that.”

The only justification I can come up with for crediting Taty with that goal is that nobody wanted to embarrass Hagglund by attaching two OGs to him in the same match.

It was incredibly obvious in real time that it was an OG, and the replays make it even more clear.

He definitely hit it back and to the left.

Maybe he intended to shoot it on goal and just fucked up his body positioning (didn't realize he wasn't facing goal) and blasted it at Hagglund accidentally?

they also said it the deal was close and to be announced two weeks ago, then they reported that the deal was complex. They all keep flip flopping. At this rate we just have to wait and see. He can still go. but i do think the hold up is palmeiras looking for the cash to make first payment.

I wonder if it will be a deal that sends him over at a later date. Kind of like the Scally transfer. Would they do a deal that sends him over either after our season or in July (so we have time to grab some reinforcements?)

it could be, though everything pointed to the deal being done and NYCFC accepting the offer but palmeiras has no cash to pay first installement of payment plan until 2022 and started this delay.

last week all reports from brazil said taty was pressuring nycfc to accept the deal, when they initially reported that the deal was already accepted. so its all going around in circles now.
