Monday Night Football tonight is Vikings at Bears. I can't imagine with just 5 day turnaround Tuesday to Saturday the playing surface at Solider Field will be in good condition for play or broadcast, with the (NFL) football markings on the field.

Not their fault in this instance. The Bears don't own the stadium, and under the lease they not only don't control the concert schedule, they can't even control how to restore the field.Very on-brand for the NFL to have an unplayable field on opening day. The league that doesn't give a crap about player safety. Hopefully we don't suffer injuries due to this mismanagement.

In related news, the Bears also announced today they are going to use the buyout clause in their lease and build a new stadium in Arlington Heights.
I just don't want JJ to get hurt.
Maybe they will just move the game to bridgeview? not like they are going to fill soldier field playing against us and they have been getting decent attendance at bridgeview.
Don't "We" me (or anyone) into this bad, evidence free take. The NFL and Bears don't control the venue and claiming otherwise is contrary to reality. The Sporting News article makes clear they don't even control how the field is maintained or prepared on game days. The Bears gain nothing by holding those concerts. That was the Chicago Park District and I'm not going to simp for anything connected to a thoroughly dysfunctional municipal government doing what it usually does: act ineptly when it isn't corrupt. We know how all-powerful the NFL is. If they wanted to do something about this, they could. They don't get the benefit of the doubt.
Good morning all you Tony Rochas.
It's game day bitches.
A lot of the credit goes to our gaffer. He's a real one. (I'm putting the D.C. debacle down to an anomaly, just one of those things.)Hell. Yes. Love the fight and tenacity from this group. Our ability to come from behind is going to come very handy in the playoffs. This group is punching way above our weight, but the results are terrific right now. Getting hot at the right time.
