MLS Week 1 Discussion

Just got a look at the national tv schedule and there are some real good games today.

After our match with Chicago, ESPN is showing Portland v Columbus (4:30). FOX SPORTS 1 has Seattle vs SKC at 7:00 and Uni-Mas is showing LA v DC United at 10:00.

Man would I love to do nothing more than plant my ass in front of the tv and watch them all, but there's no way I'm gonna pull that off.

Lol

Maybe with Atlanta joining next year, they'll move on?

Predictions for the season:

LA flops. Too old, too slow, too concerned about being on the beach.
Toronto does well, nearly winning the SS, but flops in the playoffs again; fires their coach out of habit.
Seattle buys a great DP in the summer, wins the SS and MLS Cup.
Portland has a bit of a let down after winning MLS cup, barely making Playoffs and bombing out early.
NYCFC makes playoffs and wins USOC, Lampard leaves in the summer after being plagued with injuries.

Orlando needs Atlanta and Beckam FC bad so they can have there own actual rivals and just leave us alone for crying out loud

I love this time of the year. The overlap of MLS and euro leagues gives me the opportunity to watch soccer for like 15 hours on Sunday's haha

OCSC is obsessed with us, and I wouldn't have known that they tweeted about us unless 4 people discussed it here.

Looks like Time-Warner has MLS Direct Kick free this week.

Houston v New England on channel 783.
Dallas v Philadelphia on 782.
Colorado v San Jose on 779.

Here's a shocking stat:

Caleb Porter, Timber Manager, has NEVER won an MLS game in the month of March.

Granted only been there for like 3 years now but...wow.

Really enjoying the Portland/Columbus match. The atmosphere has been amazing since the start and the play on field has been just as good. Back and forth action

And as I'm typing this Higuain scores with a bicylce kick!!!!

I would pay a minimum of 5% of my salary for this outcome.

Some stunning results.

Next week's big games:

Montreal - New Jersey
