New Food & Beer Options at Yankee Stadium

Food and Beverage Policy
"Guests are permitted to bring food for individual consumption into Yankee Stadium as long as items are brought in a clear plastic grocery-style bag and are consumed in the general seating area. Outside food may not be brought into Stadium restaurants, suites, lounges or clubs. Food that could be used as a projectile (e.g., apples or oranges) must be sliced or sectioned. Clear factory-sealed plastic water bottles 1 liter in size or smaller are also permitted."

did not know this! Grazie!

Bringing food from home would hit a whole new level with a microwave or toaster to heat it up. I'd pay a buck to have my food heated.
We actually use an insulation bag to keep the burritos warm(ish). Put it in our NYCFC founding member backpack with the drawstrings. They always look inside, but I've never been hassled. Although a security guard did once suggest that she was going to charge me a one burrito fee for entry. Fortunately she was bluffing.

Great to see this is still in effect. As a kid we would always go to at least 1 twi-night double header a year at the Stadium with a cooler of food and drinks.

Wow, I never realized we could bring in a water bottle. Now all those guys hawking $1 Polands outside make so much sense!
make sure it's either unopened, or if in current use, pour out the water at the gate and then refill inside.

Took much advantage of this last summer. Buy it right before you walk through security.

That's been my trick for years when going to the Stadium. Remember NOT to open it until you're through security.

Water fountains in the Stadium are all good quality -- and almost all are very cold -- so it's a perfect solution for water.

Last summer during those hot games, I brought in water bottles I had froze. They never gave me a hard time on getting those in and they were lifesavers. Used my drawstring bag with bottles inside as a cooling rag on the back of the neck to stay alive in that heat.

This changes everything ... ty

Thats just for NYCFC matches or all events?
It's on the Yankees site, so I'd assume it's all stadium events:

Unopened soft-sided single-serve containers of nonalcoholic beverages (e.g., small milk cartons or juice boxes), clear factory-sealed plastic bottles of water 1 liter in size or smaller, and empty plastic sports bottles are permitted.

Correct

Nice article. Thanks for posting.

The food at Yankee Stadium is mediocre at its very best - a total disappointment compared to what is available elsewhere. That's why I hope that in our new stadium (wherever and whenever that is) we tell Legends Hospitality to take a hike and actually do something good.

So, maybe some of these will be an upgrade. Additional craft beers are good, of course, and I like the look of the French Grilled Cheese.....

On game day,I like to make it special. I forget dieting and splurge on food. I agree about the food being mediocre at YS. Its edible enough to calm down hunger but so far, I have not eaten anything that makes my mouth water, that I can't wait to want to go back for seconds at YS .
The Best food I eaten is at Hard rock Cafe and and a bar on River Avenue that sells delicious empanadas. (sorry, can't remember the bar's name)
