I like the hat.
When I was getting my bag done (see page 141), I originally took it to several dry cleaner/tailors, and they all told me they couldn't do it because they only have a flat table for sewing, and that doesn't work with a bag. I eventually had to take it to a shoe repair shop, and he sent it out to his boot guy, who was the only one with the machine necessary to sew a patch on a canvas bag. $20 and a lot of time, but very happy with the outcome.

Seriously. the 2018 enrollment gifts look horrendous. the backpack and messenger bag designs are so ugly. have yet to see the quality, but I'm not expecting much. This canvas bag Gotham has is what it should be! Very classy. I may have to look into creating my own NYCFC gear. ha.

Exactly my experience. Started at lids. Went to a bunch of tailors. Finally found one who would do it. Just happy i got it done.

Thanks. Since I bring 2 kids to every match, I have a lot of extras to carry around (water, scarves, wet naps, sunscreen, rain ponchos, rubber chicken). This keeps it altogether and looks great for the team.
Other people's bag needs may vary, but I have to think something like this would be very well received. The Club could use this to deliver the member cards and seasonal swag instead of a tin box.
I've thought about writing my rep a note with this idea, and I think you've convinced me.
@gator - for sure. The 2018 enrollment gifts look like things meant for children. There should be more adult, refined gift options. A classic and simple tote like the one you made would be great.

Shit, these are “real” ones that don’t have 50 bright blue zipper dongles. I still cannot believe they cheaped-out on the ones sent in 2016.
I dunno. Heaps of people probably would hate the tote too. I think they should just screw the gifts and let us buy what we actually want separately.

How about an all weather medley with a beanie for the cold days, one of those rain slickers that folds small enough to fit in a pocket for the rainy days, and a baseball cap (maybe incorporate the design of the new alt kit) for the sunny days. I really don't want or expect anything, but it would be nice if any items were actually useful.
