If Piatti is available what do you guys think about acquiring him? It'll push someone to the bench but it puts us over the top in attacking talent. Piatti linking up with Villa, Maxi, and Isi is enticing to say the least.
Can’t buy him down to TAM level by first using GAM. It’s one or the other. And we don’t have enough GAM to drop him below max cap salary, and even if we did, we’d need that much each year of his contract.
But I guarantee the LAG will be able to sign him without jettisoning anybody of importance.
I know this is off topic, but the chatter has been the Crew grabbing Piatti, but I don't know what they're going to have to give up for him. Adding him to that attack would be absurd.
I saw somewhere (maybe on mlssoccer.com?) that a possible trade with Columbus would involve Columbus giving up Abubakar and $1.2m in allocation money.

He’s very productive with the resources granted to him and under the owner’s threat of relocation (can’t be easy on the roster).

Vermes doesnt want to leave SKC - he’s got full control of that organization, and he’s not gonna give that up for at most a 4 year stint of the MNT - he pretty much said as much in a more tactful way. And I don’t blame him.
Has any other player flirted with the MLS for longer or more actively than Fuchs?
