maybe its 50/50? he was training with fortuna dusseldorf over the offseason in december. so maybe they interested ?

For me the only question is, does someone sign Sands this summer, or are we able to hold off until December. Either way this is looking likely to be Sands's last season with us. I don't know what the offers are, but it should be somewhat hefty. I feel like 8 figures has to be in the number for us to want to sell.
Numbers will be higher in the summer. Teams will want him for preseason. If he leaves, it’ll be then.

That seems the most likely to me, too. Which is perhaps part of the reason we're (reportedly) signing a new D-mid. This new guy could very well be a Sands replacement. Having him here now means he should be fully acclimated by the time he needs to become full-time starter.

What’s interesting about the Schnitzer piece in the Outfield is that Sands’ lack of a clear position might be holding him back a bit on the transfer market.
Until teams start to shift like Pep / Dome teams, then it's a value-add. Should be anyway imo.

were linked with him every year .....just like we were linked to joe hart every transfer window. the last time they were saying he was coming here they referenced a chile article as the source. however the chile source said that he had offers from mls but only assumed that nycfc was one of them because of CFG link. so stuff was lost in translation.

That makes even less sense than most of the BS rumors we hear about. First of all, I'd pick Johnson over Bravo. Second of all, why would we spent that kind of money on a 36-year-old Bravo when we're already spending at least $400K on Johnson?
