Well played for thinking outside of the norm
Samaras was a striker, but had such a poor goal ratio, that successive teams farmed hin out to right wing.
City paid 6m for him.
I've nothing to back this feeling up, but I fancy we'll have some decent rookies next season.

Really wanted Bedoya but at least we are getting another talented player in MLS most likely a DP. This would also mean no Americans in Ligue 1/ France.

how about some Scandinavian young players (Denmark, Norway, Sweden and maybe Holland too) they tend to produce some technically brilliant kids with speed and head ball skills
Just bite the bullet, cut Frank and buy Cameron or Danny Williams, cost be damned. Or hell, any destroyer with legs.
Cameron is my pick since he knows the league and doesn't push forward as much. But I'd be ecstatic to get a dmid of that caliber. Either of those guys would change the complexion of our team. Cameron would be an easy fit, and he knows the league.

Frank has actually looked fantastic in 45 minute spells.
Still the only guy we have seen this year who knows where to be and when to be there in the box. He just hasn't finished his chances. He had two classic Frank Lampard opportunities last night. He converted one and we got 3 points.

Jacobsen was deeper last night than nearly all recent games based on the "average position" maps I went and looked at. He was behind Pirlo. I think that was a key tactical change, which would be even better if you got someone who is a natural for that position.

Hanson Boakai's contract with FC Edmonton is expiring this offseason. Could be the next Poku. Seems like he could play CAM, AM in the 4-2-3-1, or as a winger in a 4-3-3. He's 18 and a top prospect for Canada, getting interest from Europe already.
