He's really slown down and one of the main reasons Chicago fell apart. He would be another Hernandez but slower.
You're probably right, though I thought he was a beast on set pieces, something none of our current CB's have an impact on.

Like a certain Ecuadorian defender we once had...You're probably right, though I thought he was a beast on set pieces, something none of our current CB's have an impact on.
No this is not correct. Once they sign a new contract they are no longer consider HGP. For example, DC signed Bill Hamid as a HGP in 2009 and since then he has signed several new contracts. His current contract counts AGAINST the DC United cap. Players do not remain HGP and remain cap free indefinitely. The exact wording of the rule says HGP players are not always exempt from the cap but they can be (if their players 21-28). A club isn't restricted in how many HGP contracts they sign.
If he's at all concerned with his development as a player, he wouldn't not come to NYCFC because of Kreis' firing. Being managed by Vieira would be a plus for any midfielder. He's an attacking mid. Do we need anymore of those? Also how much is he making and how close was he to Kreis? Would he sign for us if he thinks we didn't treat Kreis right?
Like we discussed before TMac is basically the same player, who disappoints less. Plus we would still have to trade something to Salt Lake for him. He's an attacking mid. Do we need anymore of those? Jeff lerentewicz had his optioned declined. What do you guys think about him at cb? I know he was a cdm prior to being put at cb in chicago, a move didn't like. Maybe we can kill have him as a replacement for Jacobsen and cb depth? But then where do you Pirlo? Thoughts?
Lol...sorry was posting on my S5, anyway, I would maybe disagree with whoever said that. I think Lerentowicz is better then any CB we have currently.Thoughts? How about a spell/grammar check? Haha I kid.
Don't know much about JL but someone (a few posts ago) mentioned he's lost a step and isn't really better than what we already have.
He was always a DM in his prime and pushed back to CB because he lost a step. Has a thunder right foot for FK/PK but I would say he's slower than Hernandez at this point. Did you see him play this last year? Not the same player. Plus he's on a decent salary that NYCFC can't afford.Lol...sorry was posting on my S5, anyway, I would maybe disagree with whoever said that. S5, right there is the problem...we sure have different tastes. The majority of this forum's sophisticated owners use iPhonesLol...sorry was posting on my S5, anyway, I would maybe disagree with whoever said that. I think Lerentowicz is better then any CB we have currently.
I am with you. I hate the Galaxy S5, its the worst phone I have ever owned. Never buying another Samsung again.S5, right there is the problem...we sure have different tastes. The majority of this forum's sophisticated owners use iPhoneshaha
I was coming on here to say the same thing. If Saunders isn't the goalie in 2016 for NYCFC, I would love to go after Bendik. Plenty of potential, arguably as good or better than Saunders now and much younger than Saunders. I'm not sold on Eirik Johannsen, he's bench depth at best in my eyes. Unless NYCFC goes after a international GK, Bendik could be a great pick up.I was just over on mlssoccer.com and I saw Toronto made some roster moves. Toronto declined the options of several guys that caught my attention and one name was GK Joe Bendik.
Now unless I'm having nothing more than a convenient memory, I thought he was a pretty good 'keeper and at 26 years old could be a long term solution at the position for us if the club wants to move on from Saunders.
According to the article, Bendik (along with GK Chris Konopka and F Robbie Findley) will be up for grabs when MLS holds it's Re-Entry draft (12/9?).
