Oh yes. If there was a Poku 2.0 in NASL right now it's Laing. I think he might be a cheap diamond-in-the-rough. But yeah the international slot is a prob.

Funny. Watching Geri yesterday, all I could think of was the impact Giovinco made. Geri is probably worth $20 mil now. Barcelona has a buy back clause on him for 9 million pounds and I'm sure they will exercise it.

But a young guy like that would be a domestic star in this league.

Not right now it isn't, at least it's not a problem for us, depending on how many EDS players we decide to bring over.

He's 20 years old. I'm not so sure he rots on the bench at Barca in a year or two. Even if Barca doesn't want him, they can buy him for 9 and sell him for 20 immediately.

While Poku is 23 and an argument can be made that his physicality better suits MLS than players like Facey and Angelino, I don't think either of the EDS kids really wowed us last year. Either MLS is better than Europe would admit (that's my theory) or the EDS kids aren't that good.

We didn't get the best possible EDS kids because the overlords judged that MLS isn't good enough for their development.
