Angelino was their gem. And you could make the case that he made little to no impact here. Part of that is because he was only here for a couple of months. But, again, there is an argument to be made that he isn't built for MLS.

Look at Giovinco. Teams that bullied him this year had a fighting chance - and he's probably the most talented player this league has ever seen.

I think it was more coming in right in the middle of the season. From the moment he came on against Toronto he looked like he belonged.

Eh. I don't know about that. There were a number of players that disappointed me this year. Iraola, Grabavoy, Mix. I would add Angelino to that list. It seemed as if we were getting the best "prospect" Man City had to offer.

Robbie Findley stinks. Why pay him 85k when you already have Mullins and Shelton on the roster for less than that. We know what Robbie Findley is right now. We don't know what we have in Mullins or Shelton.

Angelino is one of the top 18 year olds out there in the world. He did not make much impact but it does not invalidate that he is a top player for his age. His shortcoming is his lack of defensive experience and lack of physicality. LM is a much better role for him than LB.

But that's the point, since he is on loan here, why do we need to care about his potential? We'll never see it. Let's focus on a LB that actually defends now and plans to stay here more than 1 season (if NYCFC can keep a player longer than 12 months).

Maybe Chicago, or the agent is trying to negotiate a better contract somewhere else. Kroenke was never going to pay that much on a player for the Rapids. And NJ is just using the rumor as marketing.

Alvarado would be a great get at a position of need. Plus, we should be 3rd or so in Allocation Order once the season ends, so it's not out of the question.

Lots of speculation about Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting. I have to think this is our checking him out for possible acquisition a year from now. It's possible a DP might be leaving, but scouting ahead for a replacement for Frank is much more likely.

sure, MCFC can buy him for the value. But we're talking about his ability now.

Vela is off to Chicago.
