Dude. Be aware, you could receive a lifetime ban for suggesting we go into next season with Hernandez in our starting XI.
Chanot is our most expensive CB - he is NOT playing DMid. Hernandez is NOT ever going to be a regular player on the back line unless our clubhouse is beset with an epidemic of Shingles. His salary is going to be shed the first opportunity we have; and if he's on the team, he's just going to be a part-time squad rotation player.
We won't get him, either Atlanta or Minnesota will. They will be willing to overpay for talent far more than we will because they are hurting for talent far more than we are.
Johnson is making $350k right now, I'd expect he might move up to 400 and then get his cap space bought down a tad. Remember how badly we were hurting for quality of any kind two years ago? A player like this is a godsend for the expansion teams.
That is predicated on him just wanting his payday and not caring about winning and loosing. But at 29 he's staring life after soccer squarely in the face and will be looking to put away as much as he can.

I don't think the league has released it yet. We probably won't have a full list until after MLS Cup.

It also has to do with contracts expiring and whether a player decides to stick with his team.
PREDICTION - We will acquire a player as DP that few on here will have ever heard of. He will be 25-29. News will leak a few days before. People will freak out. Then they will do research and be hopeful. By summer everyone will be very happy. This person will either be a box-to-box mid or a target striker.
This. But he won't be here until the summer. I still think he's based in Europe currently. More Giovinco than Ledeiro.

I'll point out that Nasri's contract with MCFC runs through June 2019. He could end his loan at Sevilla, play a full season here on loan, and still be sold by MCFC if it doesn't work out efficiently.
