Am I the only one who likes going to a game on a nice summer evening in shorts, a jersey and Birkenstocks? Drink a cool beer and eat some popcorn.
Early this season we played a game against I believe it was Cincy at Citi field. It was whipping freezing rain into my face and my wife said if we hadn’t won, she would have wanted a divorce.

Summer evening is fine but I won't miss getting vaporized in the midsummer afternoons.

And I even understand and am sympathetic to the argument from a Houston and southern Florida perspective. But I feel like I’m going coo coo bananas if New Yorkers and other Northeasterners want to sit in frigid humid cold sleeting rain cause it doesn’t snow anymore.

I think it's pretty obvious that those of us who are open to the winter schedule do so for the other benefits - summer window, better fit for FIFA breaks - rather than preferring cold games. And I think at most we will have 2 more games in that weather and maybe just one.

Fair enough, I don’t see those benefits as all that important and definitely don’t see it outweighing the downside of a cold game. But you can’t deny there are many here who gripe about how warm summer games are. I’ll take too hot over too cold every time. But again those are personal preferences. And here we are again have the exact same differences in preferences that we have every month or so here.

Another issue for me is for the last few years we skip a lot of the summer, sometimes for LC, sometimes GC, next year probably WC.

This year we had 1 game between May 31 and June 28. Before the LC format change this year, it was even worse. I’d care more about losing summer games if we didn’t skip some of the best early summer weather already.

Excellent point.
