Still trying to wrap my head around the logic in subbing in Wingert for Hernandez. We know he's shit at CB... he gets beat and a goal goes in. Then we take out Allen for KWS a few minutes later. Why even bother putting Wingert in at CB for those 5 minutes if you're going to move him to LB?

Defensive ineptitude aside, there was actually a good run of play for a large majority of our forward movement. Our defense was woeful though and we let it all slip away. Those new Spanish defenders can't come soon enough!

Our defense has a MAJOR gap down the left side (Wingert/Allen) and we are constantly exploited on a daily basis.

I'm amazed by the complete lack of comments on the terrible goalkeeping for the last 2 opposition penalties. That was more unacceptable incompetence than anything the rest was just one misfortune after another. Particularly from the moment that equaliser went in at which point the game seemed increasingly cursed. Speaking of scapegoats the Ballouchy abuse is getting rather ridiculous now. Even after his goals there seems to be some kind of dig and almost a gleeful anticipation from some that he might miss the penalty.

NYCFC beat themselves if Cosmos want to delude themselves otherwise that obviously wouldn't be surprising. Honestly would probably have preferred losing 4-0 than losing in such ridiculous fashion.

Again why why why is Alvarez kicking the PK? Mullins might as well have told Maurer where he was going to shoot. Facey (sigh) and I just won't get started on Grabavoy. And like I said multiple times Lurch is useless on low shots. All of their made PKs were low shots.

Cosmos didn't earn anything. NYCFC beat themselves if Cosmos want to delude themselves otherwise that obviously wouldn't be surprising.

Having watched him play so far this year he literally brings NOTHING to the team. His passing is horrid and often times backwards. He is not good at all and did nothing for us this game as well. usually I'm not one to put players on the spot like that but you asked and that's where most of us are coming from. Yes he scored 3 goals but in every single one of those games he had an overall poor performance.
