Official: Pirlo Signs With Nycfc... Soon?

There has to be something. Maybe CFG is trying to get creative with the contract. I know they had their qualifier against Croatia quickly after the CL. Then this friendly with Portugal. If I remember correctly, they are done for a while. So Pirlo probably has been busy and focused on that I would assume. I bet he will take the next few days to assess everything. He doesn't seem like the type to want to screw Juve over, so I think we'll have the answer sooner than later now.

Why does there have to be something? Why can it just be media nonsense? By my count this whole thing is running on 2-3 reports of quoted "Sources" that everyone just keeps re-quoting over and over. Granted it did seem that some of those sources are fairly reputable, but so have some of the sources that said its not real. I am not trying to be argumentative, honestly looking for an explanation of what I am missing?

I think the fact that not one person has come out and said it wasn't true makes it intriguing. It went from Pirlo will be accepting NYCFC contract a couple weeks ago...to silence. The team nor Pirlo denied it. Then the little reports from him buying a place in Tribeca to his kids saying they're moving to NYC keeps it going. Add to the fact that it's Pirlo, whom is a very high profile popular player. There's been many reports of players coming here...but this is the first one that I've seen that says, that a player has agreed to come here and then nothing. I think the silence just adds to the speculation.

Also, just look at how long this thread is already. It's become fun to talk about his legend and beard. There's plenty of satire going on with it. So it's probably more or less a means to B.S. with each other about our 3rd DP than anything.

AND you wouldn't get moments like this...classic

I am for this. Above and beyond any other suggestion I may have made. Let's get three, and pretend we have four simply so we can bullshit and speculate.
