I just read the Cubo Torres won't be apart of the dispersal draft. They are finalizing the option to buy his rights and pay him DP money. So that most likely means that some kind of arbitrary mechanism that no one understands comes into play for him.
 
I'm thinking Kennedy myself.

I'd be surprised if Torres is included in any sort of dispersal draft. I think he signs on with another team before the draft takes place. I'm thinking he stays in L.A. with the Galaxy or maybe even heads on over to RBNY.

Remember, MLS has no problem finagling the rules to get marquee players where htey want them.
 
My dream scenario would be they put him into the allocation pool. We trade our spot to Orlando City for the second spot in the allocation order and the first pick in the expansion draft. That way we end up with the first 2 picks in the expansion draft and still hold the first spot in the allocation order after they take Torres.

Well since his transfer is around $7 million, I hope so.

Chivas has several serviceable parts, aside from Kennedy and Torres. Jean Baptist, Barrera, Bajora, Finley, Delgado. Some of those were on loans so theres that to think about.

It is going to be interesting how they decide the order of the draft with the playoffs still going on. My guess would be end of regular season record but who knows. Also whether they will include NYCFC and Orlando in the draft? If so are we at the top or bottom of the draft? NYCFC first pick? Thursday should be interesting and just gets me excited to see how close we are getting a full roster.
 
Let's assume that Torres is available in the DP conversation and was willing to only play for a number if clubs, NYCFC included.

I say Cubo. I think he's that good.

I also have a sneaking suspicion that you will soon see an extra DP slot for just CanAm MNT players. Maybe not full DP, but something where they could help entice back those fringe USMNT players like a Shea, Ream or Agudelo.
 
I don't even like rooting for Jozy on the nats, I really hope we don't end up with him. His skill set is not special, he doesn't create his own opportunities, he needs to be fed golden chances. I am eagerly awaiting the time when we move on from him on the national team. Aron getting hurt was my biggest disappointment at the WC.
 
Depends on whether the Revs will pay him. There isn't true free agency, but if NYCFC offers more money, things can happen. LAG had to offer Omar DP money to keep him around or risked losing him for free.
 
I would totally take Cubo over Jozy. US Nats usually aren't as good when they return from Europe. Of course there are exceptions like Donovan. But generally they don't light up the league like most people expect them to do. It's why I hope they also stay the hell away from Brek Shea as well.

If we could get Diskerud as well then that is an amazing base for Kreis to build on for a long time.
