I agree that Stolz has potential but I think his biggest problem is that he could count as a international being a German. Considering how big a deal those slots will be for NYCFC and its non-Americans I can't imagine they would spend it on a college player.

Its a big deal if hes a borderline starter or bench player but if a team thinks he is a future star or everygame starter, then not so big a deal. MLS teams have ten international slots...

Right now MLS clubs have 8 international slots or 152 spread over 19 teams. You can have more or less, but 8 is where they started. My guess is NYCFC will try to get more, but Kreis has never used many of them, I think Salt Lake always had a surplus of them. Maybe CFG changes his mind. Even if NYC got 8, they are already using 2 on Lampard and Villa, so they are down to 6, factor in 2 loanees from MC, we are down to 4. Feel me?

I don't think any player from the SuperDraft will start on NYCFC. So IMHO, not worth a international slot.

I'll be surprised if he returns to Italy anytime soon. He's already burned bridges at two of the three biggest teams in the country, and was basically kicked off the national team after the Euro's

I hope he's never on a team that I support.

Eh, Mancini is back at Inter. I know he's an AC fan but don't bet against the link between those two from pushing through a return move.

Yea probably, just thought a USMNT player without a contract that is open to coming to MLS would be getting more attention than what it has.
Well his move to MLS has fell through twice now so it would make sense for most teams to pass on him (the whole deal with his dad). We'll just have to hope things will work out differently with NYCFC

Yea you are probably right, just thought there would be some more news out by now on his whole situation, but hey what do I know.

Can't have a team full of guys that don't play on artificial surfaces. I think Drogba has a year or two of useful soccer left. But the artificial turf might make him irrelevant half the season.
