I'm gonna go ahead and take credit for Pirlo's free kick goal for randomly deciding to record it.
Not going to apologize for my 16 year old girlish screaming
No, he's just shite when having to make the decision whether to catch or punch. I'm not even sure if he's ever caught a cross. Ever. He seriously must be afraid he's going to let it go through his grasp for an own goal and instinct is to punchSerious question, any chance Josh has something wrong with one of his hands like a jammed finger or something. I ask because multiple times yesterday he punched balls in the air that he could have easily just grabbed. There was a ball into the box early in the first half that he punched solidly to both hands and his arms bent at over 30 degrees. If you are not even fully extended and you can get both fists solidly on the ball couldn't you just as easily grab it? The ball flew out to the top of the box right to a Philly player who then just resumed the attack.
That just seems to be the Josh Saunders way.Serious question, any chance Josh has something wrong with one of his hands like a jammed finger or something. I can't get down on Brillant for that goal because without him back there we'd be averaging about 15 more shots per game to defend then we already are. And of those 15, Saunders would let in 7 per his average.I would be kinder to Brillant if that wasn't his second own goal in as many games. I kinda wish someone had done a "Brillant's on fire our defense is terrified" chant.
Also, is the PA announcer pronouncing Lampard's name really weirdly? Like... LAMPard. instead of LamPard.
I get what you are saying, but I have high confidence that had he subbed Hernandez out and we then gave up the 3-2 goal for a close finish these boards would have been howling about how you never take off a CB unless there is an injury. Frankly, I'd be one of those (minus the howling).I had no issue with who was brought on, but rather who was taken off, namely TMac as the first when Hernandez was both on a yellow and getting turned quite a bit.
At the end of the game I really wanted to do a chant:I kinda wish someone had done a "Brillant's on fire our defense is terrified" chant.
My issue is that Hernandez is a loose cannon with his tackles on a normal basis and he was sitting on a yellow. The last thing the team needed was for him to take another which starts the onslaught by way of a man advantage. And what happened.... The moron got a yellow, but it wasn't even a yellow from a clumsy tackle which he's known for, it was a premeditated yellow near midfield because he got turned just like he'd been turned many times during the game. And the cherry on top was that when interviewed, he said he made the conscious decision to take it, knowing he'd be sent off, because he knew we'd be ok. That was an asinine decision - even if we give up one on the breakaway, we still have 11v11 and play a stalemate.I get what you are saying, but I have high confidence that had he subbed Hernandez out and we then gave up the 3-2 goal for a close finish these boards would have been howling about how you never take off a CB unless there is an injury. Sorry for the tangent on his idiocy, but his taking the yellow is exactly the reason to have subbed him off earlier and not given him the opportunity to make any decisions.
That's really harsh. He had his right foot up to clear a ball that he thought was gonna come down there, plus he was airborne, so he had very little leverage to change the direction of his head / body in the milliseconds between noticing that somebody was about to get something on the incoming corner and having it hit him in the head.Maybe "trying to make a play" shouldn't consist of turning his head towards his own net while "defending" a header?

It's debatable if it'd have been a true breakaway - I went back and watched the replay and Brillant was next to him so a goal wasn't a given and the need to foul wasn't there if on a yellow. That's not exactly what he said.
He said he was worried about giving up a goal with five minutes left, and made the tactical decision to give up the foul rather than a breakaway scoring chance. He thought we'd be OK defending two goals for the final five minutes. I guess it's a fair conversation piece -- which is more valuable, up two goals with ten men, or up one goal with 11 men?
Yow! It's Super Freak's birthday apparently too according to all of Twitter.No. It's Super Freak!
