Premier League 16/17

Well fuck. My above post was not meant to jinx. Bravo going full Slosh.
The sloshing should have resulted in a PK, another GA and red as well. I'm biased though, am I right? I see the counter argument but think it warrants the call.

Not sure how it wasn't a PK. Any other player in the box is called for it - the GK should not be protected when causing the situation.

Nope I'm with Kyle Martino not a foul. Might be biased as well lol but the pundits seem split so I definitely don't think it was clear cut or blatant .

I was so glad that the Manc Derby wasn't a grinding draw, which was a distinct possibility.

First half was pure Pepball from City, to the point where they were basically the only team on the pitch. But much credit to Mourinho making the correct tactical changes (and likely verbally beating the shit out of his players) at the half to at least give United a fighting chance at getting something out of the match. And honestly it should have finished at least 2-2 and possibly with a United win if The Zlatan had a little more finishing mojo.

Claudio Bravo definitely seemed rattled after his error that led to United's goal, but I'd bet he'll settle quickly after a few matches against lesser team than United.

Really can't wait for the rematch in, what, February?

What I noticed about United today, how do Rashford and Martial sit on the bench? They are great players that need playing time.

I find a problem with these teams that spend so much money. So much talent that is wasted on the bench at times.

It's not just in the EPL.... NYCFC has somebody languishing on the bench too

City had just as legit a PK shout for Bailly going through the back of Otamendi and De Bruyne hitting the post was the closest missed chance from either side.Combines with their possession and shots advantage An argument can be made that if anything city should have won by more.

So with the hyperbolic British press does Chelski replace Man U as the crisis team? Technically they could still come back but being pounded by Arsenal as I type this. Would be 8 points behind City already.

Every team that lose a game is a crisis team, as a United fan myself couldn't stop laughing at all the crap that's been coming out about us the past few weeks and the Rooney garbage from some of our fans

Certainly the knives were out yesterday. I was following the BBC text commentary and there were so many messages from fans (both Chelsea and otherwise) saying that it was time to acknowledge Mourinho may not have been the only issue last year.

West ham playing in that giant stadium looks insane. Atmosphere must be terrible. Supporters are so far from the field.
