Found this re: the match. Nick in mid season form.

“I think we came in with a plan and off the back of two weeks of really good training, where we really stressed the team physically. We want to be a more aggressive team. I thought, in the first half, we really showed our ability to be on the front porch, scored a really good goal and really controlled the game on three, four, five chances that I think we’re really pleased with. Really exciting two weeks in the sense of applying new ideas, and incredible week of effort from the players. The first stage of building this team and molding the cohesion of the team. We had three or four markers that we wanted to achieve. … We were really happy with it and those markers. A good game today where the players have come off, experiencing real success in what we wanted to apply on the field.”

I give him lots of credit: He is outstanding at using lots of words to say absolutely nothing.

Not to keep beating a dead horse into the ground, but I LOLed that even in the post game presser there still weren't any player names mentioned.

Seems pretty close to our projected opening day starting 11, excited to see how they do.

We're pressing high more than last year and it just paid off. Though it's clear everyone is very rusty.

nick said a focus is being more aggressive this year and as a result, preseason has been more physical. great cause i thought the team was just not in good enough shape last year and it showed. glad it's something he's focusing on this year as it is more of what I would associate as being "our style". rust is showing, but it's not too bad. team chemistry with wolf needs to build.

does o'toole not have competition at LB? because that can be an issue moving forward.
