yeah. 5 years from now? I do think so. Site identified and purchased in 2 years. Built in 2-3 years. It's feasible.

Personally, I'm in no hurry. I'm fine with YS. But I understand other folks want out for their own reasons
Just a reminder that the 5 year timeline was given as far back as 2013 IIRC. So we should be further along than where we are today. 5 years from today? Maybe.

Either way I think you'll be happy because if I had to bet money on it, I'd put it all on the stadium being in the Bronx.

Put me in the camp of being woefully disappointed in this part of the franchise. I did expect to have more progress by now.

I actually expected a lot more progress on a lot of fronts to be honest from an infrastructure standpoint. I think they've done a great job on the field so far within the limitations of the league.

YS isn't awful as a temporary venue for the actual game watching experience, but for the love of all that is good, they need a complete revamp of their concessions - when compared to CitiField and Barclays Center, YS is the equivalent of the slop orphanage kids were served during the Great Depression while those other venues offer the equivalent of white linen style options.

The chicken bucket shouldn't be the best option simply because it's affordable on a cost/ratio basis, it should be the lowest (pragmatic) option with much more/better to choose from.

yeah I'm saying 5 years from now in saying it's do-able. I do hope it's Bronx as well

Dude, if you're gonna talk about my cheesesteaks this way we're gonna have to have words.

I kind of like cold Nathan's franks and head spin inducing MSG infused dumplings.

I would double down on this (triple down, if the casino allowed it).

What's the over/under on Stadium Discussion Thread pages by the time we sit down in our opening day seats? 650? I still say we petition to have this entire thread etched into the walls of the new place. Make it really feel like home.

I honestly think it would end up being a lot more than that. Immediately before a stadium announcement, I would imagine a ton of speculation being done here and then the actual announcement to blow this thread up. There would be a ton of pages added around then. And we can count on a few info leaks and potential news that we read too much into to add a good amount of pages.

Then there will be discussion of stadium food choices, seating arrangements, will there be safe standing, tifo rigging, etc. etc. as well as comparison to other stadiums as Orlando and DCU get new stadiums as well as LAFC, Minnesota, and Atlanta.

And of course add about 50 pages of various discussion that aren't related at all to the stadium.

I'm gonna throw out there 800 pages.

800 seems extraordinary low.

Probably 1200. Why so much? Well say the stadium is 8 years away from being complete. The further we reach to the opening day, the more activity this page will have posts.

While we wait 5 years we might as well have some stadium related "fun." Disclaimer: I think this was a dumb idea, but the perspective they get is pretty cool.

dope.....why do they always play that same type of music in these videos? ...lol almost all of them have the same type.

also i would think they would cover their faces and change their voice or something. At least the NYC based videos that I have seen do.

tifo rigging
Anyone else besides me not really a fan of this? I love tifos in crowds, but once the front office is involved in officially approved signage that gets run up special rigging it just somehow doesn't seem the same to me.

I'm quite certain that all tifos across the league have to be approved by the team/front office first. The only difference here would be how its displayed.
