Can we go to Citi Field to get food before going to our SSS with the crappy Yankee vendors?

I doubt it.
Building another arena within the radius of 100 miles that already has 4 other arenas seems like a terrible idea.
I don't know, distance isn't a good measurement in the Greater New York Area. Better to use travel time.
I'm sure quite a few people in Westchester and Connecticut would attend events in a northern Queens arena.
Even then, there are only so many events to go around, even in NYC.
From an elected official's perspective, a brand new team committed to playing in NYC vs a team that would be in their third stadium in the decade. I know who I'd support.41+ events per year (Islanders' home games) is a nice base.
Better than 17 MLS home games.
Just read the article, when did the Wilpons buy the Islanders? They are Sterling EquitiesI wrote a thing about the background of the whole thing plus why you shouldn't get too excited, I even got a comment from a state assemblyman, still waiting on comments from other elected but I'm not too hopeful.

The de facto de Blasio sucks thread...
"But the city is set to spend more to defend Mr. de Blasio in the investigations: A new contract will be filed with the city comptroller for outside counsel to spend more on the federal inquiry, City Hall officials said Wednesday, beyond the $10 million contract filed last year. They decline to provide the amount until the new contract has been filed."

So it's okay for the City to spend money to defend de Blasio but not give debt relief on the GAL site?
Wow you're right, I just re-read that Bloomberg report and misinterpreted it. Good catch.Just read the article, when did the Wilpons buy the Islanders? They are Sterling Equities

I laughed at that. I'm honestly surprised no one has called me fake news yet.You didn't misinterpret it. You just provided alternative facts.

Plus as an islanders fan, Barclays is fine, Not ideal obviously, but its fine.
Said the guy who sits here never:Sight lines aren't as bad as people make them out to be.
Again not ideal but you do not have to seat there and they fully disclose bad seats when you are buying.Said the guy who sits here never:
