The history of trolls on this board is long and distinguished. From the days of the Man City supporters storming the board until now, they've been great.

10 paragraph essays on a piece of shit site in the middle of Long Island is a massive self own. But that's what happens when your league has folded and you have nothing to look forward to out at MCU Park

You thought it was a green troll? I assumed it was a red one. Either way that was possibly one of the worst ways to try and stir sh*t up around here.

Great stadium in a shit location can try to ridicule shit stadium in great location, but at some point the realization sets in that they can't fight great stadium in a great location.

So let them have their last gasp of fun.

Huge Mets fan now hanging with NYCFC. And the team is tweeting about it. More smoke.

Construction on the affordable housing to begin in 2020 and done by 2022.

I honestly think they'd want the stadium construction done before the affordable housing units are finished. So announce the stadium in late 2018. Build in early 2019. Done by 2021.

I don't know. That's bad optics, but I agree with you from an operational perspective.

To identify community priorities and produce recommendations for the remainder of the 17 acres of the Willets Point development site, the mayor also announced the formation of a task force, chaired by Borough President Melinda Katz and Council Member Francisco Moya. The task force, initially proposed by Council Member Moya, is modeled on the steering committee that developed the framework for the Greater East Midtown Rezoning.
Isn’t Moya a big fan of the club?
Yes, yes he is. Went to google and found this from when he was running.

This would suggest that remediation of the site would be completed by 2020 at the latest, unless they do it in stages with the housing going first, but I can’t imagine they’d take the chance of having people move in next door to toxins. So hopefully it really will be one big tabula rasa for all of the construction to commence at the same time.

We now know some remediation has already begun. Could NYCFC scoop up that land before the affordable housing?

... and I'd like to thank the Mayor, Borough President, Council Member Moya, and all the partners for moving the ball forward on this long-stalled project," said Council Member Peter Koo.
