Yeah, really interesting. I wonder if there have been analyses where gamestate is accounted for, in calculating xG. Like filtering out periods of games where GD is over 2 and it’s post 80’ or something like that. I suppose that’s a small % of game time, but still.
I believe you can do this on the ASA app for Team G+ which is basically an improved version of xG
