Third Rail : A Plastic Supporter Group ?

I'm in 225, which is right next to where they are at 226. They definitely all came at the same time, although I'm not sure if that was because the club made them or because they met up by themselves or what not. Their section was filled before any of the others near us, though. And from what I saw they had free roam of Yankee Stadium. There were chants back and forth (a lot of people yelling that Boston sucks or Ny sucks) but I didn't see one bit of hostility between either groups of fans, which is great.

Yeah, that's how it should be. It just creates a better atmosphere.

My Italian cousin came to the States a couple of summers ago and we brought her to a baseball game. There were some fans of the away team throughout the stadium. She turns to me and says in her best broken English, "Why they no kill each other?" haha I had to explain to her that American sporting culture is a liiiiittle different than what she's used to.

Someone care to fill me in on wtf this person is talking about with the Cosmos flag?

Yeah, same shit happens at the San Paolo with Napoli. They're all nuts over there. Serie A should model themselves after the EPL in terms of safety and atmosphere. I'd never take my kid to a Napoli game, but I'd feel safe taking him to an EPL game.

You are right about the safety in EPL, but the atmosphere...........It is in Bundesliga !!!!

Clubs are now starting to make it a much more family oriented game now,as they have realised they can make more money out of a family in food and visits to the club shop.at city we have a family stand.please do not think there is a good atmosphere at EPL games its absolutely rubbish honestly ,they have sanitised the game to such an extent its like going to the theatre or ballet, and many people are packing up going and the clubs are happy to fill their seats at £55 with tourists

The club did actually escort them all to the section because I saw them all waiting in the great hall until they were all rounded up by security or more appropriately an usher or two. I also saw scattered revs fans sitting in other sections, including mine.

Sadly, Philly takes it as a point of pride.

Philly is ridiculous. You're literally fenced in on the concourse with cops posted all along the top of the away section. But then there are union fans in the section right next to you.

Ugh, really? That seems a bit much.

I went to a Phillies doubleheader last year as my Atlanta Braves were playing, so I figured I'd make a day of it. I was very identifiably a Braves fan. Between games I went to the bar across the street, and a dude was wearing a frekaing John Rocker jersey (classic, and ballsy.) No one gave a shit.

Has there ever been major fights/issues with their supporters and other groups, or is this just bullshit Philly posturing?

After 2 lost games the Section 8 was present in San Josè in a passable number to make a group and the distance between Chicago and San Josè ( 2950 km ) is larger to the NYC - Denver distance ( 2620 km )............. What justifications for the TR ?
While I appreciate your fervor, this line of thought is getting tiring. Please post your travel itinerary for YOUR away trip to see NYCFC before you criticize others......

Fabio, with respect, mate, you're just going to have to accept that the American cultural mindset towards sports is not the same as the European one, and this stuff isn't going to live up to your hopes very often. If you look hard enough then you're always going to find examples to compare against, but you'll do yourself the world of good by simply accepting it and moving on.
