Ticket Donation Tax Question

Pretty sure there has to be 5,450 in itemized deductions for it to have an effect. Otherwise it's better to take a standard deduction rather than itemizing. I only have my charitable contributions thus I take a standard deduction. Otherwise I'd have to owe taxes whereas now I work on breaking even every year.

As a new Yorker the thought of using the standard deduction never even enters my mind!

Haha yeah my friend lives in Kansas City and there are parts where he's triple taxed. Sent me a receipt for a soda yesterday that has $.11 tax on a $.89 drink. Fuck that shit.
I think they have like a 18% tax rate
