Decided to do a little visit to our fellow “soccer on a a baseball field” bros and check out a storied franchise in a storied location (for different reasons) while on a quick Florida getaway. The Tampa Bay Rowdies at Al Lang field, where Mets legends from both World Series Championship teams did Spring training. The corner flag is where Jerry Grote and Gary Carter donned the tools of ignorance, and the corner of the 18 is where Tom Terrific, Jerry Koosman, Nolan Ryan, Doc Gooden etc. practiced their art. And somewhere over by a food truck Darryl Strawberry patrolled right field, while the OG Mookie (Wilson) and Lenny Dykstra and Met legend Ron Swoboda tracked down flies where the premium midfield seats now stand. The ghost of Cleon Jones is guarding the far goal.

And even more Cardinal legends did the same. But I HATE the Cards with the fire of a thousand suns.
