USMNT Talk

Bedoya was absent. Hopefully Mix starts vs Brazil. Give Kaka another lesson.

Jozy switched to a Nike American's captain armband for the 2nd half. Coincidence, I think not.

Mix played well tonight. He applied pressure, controlled the ball, and took a possession or two from Peru. He was a threat tonight and I hope he's as much of a threat when he's back in the bronx.

That game was such a highlight of what NYCFC are lacking. In the first half, there was no one to play through to the middle so Jones was just playing long balls. The difference was, we actually had wingers who could do something with long balls.
When mix came in at the half, IN THE MIDDLE, he looked awesome. Everywhere he needed to be. Helping on defense, distributing, dangerous on attack. It is such a mental failure to play him on the wing.

Also, jozys first touch, passing and thought processes are worse than nemec's. That penalty was an embarrassment. It almost got saved twice.

Are you kidding about Jozy's passing? His great feed to Yedlin set up the 2nd goal, and he had a nifty back heel that almost sprung us for another.

I didn't like Jozy's handling of the ball. His first touch was like a rock smashing the ball for most of the game. There were also a couple times that he hesitated passing the ball that really slowed down our counterattack. This is why we need a guy like Dempsey next to him so we can just stick Jozy in front of the net.

I really liked how Mix looked in the second half. He was a much better option than Bedoya in the middle.

Jozy's like Fat Frank, expect just slightly less fat. He needs to take the offseason and just really train hard, lose like 10 pounds, and gain speed.

Mix is like Superman. As Clark Kent (on NYCFC) he's completely worthless because he's only a reporter. But as Superman (on USMNT) he's free to play his position and lead the US to victory. Kreis is kryptonite.

A good move in my opinion by Klinsmann ahead of USA-Brazil on Tuesday.

CALLED UP:
- Bradley (this was known)
- Jordan Morris (JoMo!, has 931 friends on Facebook)
- Sean Johnson (Fire GK)

SENT HOME:
- Besler: "We were impressed with Matt Besler this past week,” said Klinsmann. “We definitely saw what we needed to see from him as we prepare for the Mexico clash and Sporting KC badly wanted him back for Wednesday, so we agreed to send him home."
- William Yarbrough (León)

STAYING HOME:
- Deuce: Not 100%, but will be in the lineup for USA-Mexico.

I'd really like to see Morris and Wood on the field together at some point.

Jordan Morris, is probably one of the coolest college kids in America today. Flying to Boston on Tuesday to play for the USMNT then flying back to Stanford to play with his other teammates.

Christian Pulisic just made the bench for Borussia Dortmund's first team today... oh and he's only 16.

Why is Bedoya starting? He didn't even show up vs Peru.

No chat box for tonight? NYCFC_Dan

Have to say the turnout looks disappointing in Foxboro. The American Outlaw section is only 60% filled. And Jurgen's smile is haunting.

Cheapest tickets were $75. good seats up and above $450. No wonder.

I'm co-watching this and the Mets... right after brazil scored, the mets gave up an inside the park grand slam. How much will y'all pay me to root for the RBNJ instead of NYCFC?

Every game played in Foxboro has this kind of turnout in the stands. I do not know why they keep playing USMNT games there. Plenty of other places would love to host games.
