USMNT Talk

In fact, he did nail the pass. A thing of beauty. Unfortunately, J Lew botched it with his first touch (in his defense not an easy touch given the speed of the ball).

I just thought it was awesome that SJ tried to spring him almost the first chance he got, it was a very impressive pinpoint pass from SJ. Lewis just slightly mishandled it and missed out on the break but he kept possession.

Lewis forced a nice turn over almost immediately but then looked a bit nervous/jittery early on. He struggled with the SJ ball, he had one cut move where he put the ball over the end line with a heavy touch (actually a very similar move to the one he got right later on the assist), and he got burned when lunged at the ball deep in our corner on defense. But after some early gitters he really started to settle in and show what he can do. By the end I thought it was a very encouraging appearance. He looks to be in good form and ready to contribute, all good signs for us this season because we need him as others have said hopefully he gets the chance to show what he can do.

Seems like Lewis is considered 3rd in terms of risen stock from camp cupcake. Looks like people here aren't the only idiots who like what his simple and basic passes that lead to goals bring to the table.

He may be too good for the Scottish league. Great place to solidify his confidence.
If you see any interviews with him you can tell he is a smart dude. He knows EXACTLY what to say to endear himself to the Celtic fans -- and he genuinely looks so freaking excited to be contributing.
